Tour Itinerary

• 8:00 AM ~ Departure from San Juan del Sur

• Set off on your journey with a morning departure, heading out to catch the cool morning air and enjoy the changing landscape as you travel toward Nicaragua's stunning highlands.

• 10:00 AM ~ Mirador de Catarina

• Arrive at the breathtaking viewpoint perched high above the crater rim. The panoramic vistas here are unmatched, offering a sweeping look over the sparkling Apoyo Lagoon, the distant Momotombo volcano, and Lake Nicaragua. Take your time strolling the landscaped pathways, browsing local artisan crafts, and soaking in the morning stillness.

• 1:00 PM ~ Apoyo Lagoon (Lunch & Relaxation)

• Descend into the lush caldera for an afternoon at the lagoon. Settle in for a leisurely lunch right by the water's edge at a local lakeside spot. Spend the midday hours swimming in the warm, mineral-rich volcanic waters, or relaxing beneath the shade of the forest canopy. Optional yoga or meditation session. 

• 4:00 PM ~ Departure from the Lagoon or add on the Masaya Volcano niight tour, see below. 

• As the afternoon light softens, pack up and depart from the crystalclear waters of the lagoon, carrying a renewed sense of calm as you head back (or continue on your evening adventure!). ​
